The Phone Call From God, originally done by Jerry Jordan, performed by Daryl Stout. Basically, this man is getting ready to watch "The Tonight Show" on late night TV, when he gets a long distance phone call. He thinks it's a "crank call", because of the late hour...and because the caller asks "if he's a Christian". It turns out to be The Lord Himself on the other end of the line!! While you don't actually "hear" what The Lord says, this cute skit covers prayer, church attendance, tithing, taking an active part in church, Sunday School, influence on others, and gossip. Some of the items were updated for "todays times", as the skit was originally done over 30 years ago...and the album is no longer available. It makes a great sermonette for a church service, and it doesn't appear that "the Bible is being crammed down the listeners throat", as it were, during the skit. This was done as part of the Interdenominational Worship Service at the 2007 National Singles Square Dance Convention in North Little Rock, Arkansas...and I understand one young lady was "under strong conviction" because of this skit, and of the service itself. When listening to it, adjust the playback audio, as you need to.rchgrace.mp3 (60,136K)
