e-Mail Notify v0.996 alpha. I wrote
e-Mail Notify because I connect my home
computer to the school computers through
a PPP link and a 14,4k modem. I wanted
to keep my mail folders on the school
computer because it is the only way I
can access them from both school and
home. For this reason, I needed a
windows program that tells when there is
new mail without retrieving it and
without taking to much of the sockets
bandwidth. This version for Win32s.

Winsock RCP/RSH for Win32 are Win32/Winsock
versions of the RCP, RSH, and REXEC commands
found on Unix systems.  The will work under
Windows NT or Windows 95.  RCP copies files
over TCP/IP between the PC and a remote host
or between two remote hosts.  It can do
recursive copies and text file conversions on
the fly.  RSH allows you to execute commands
on a remote host and view or capture the
output to a file.  REXEC is similar to RSH,
but requires a password, which is validated
at the host.

XFINGER reads users and hosts from a config
file, and fingers the hosts every 40 seconds
(default). If the users are logging on the
hosts you specified, XFINGER will notify you
by displaying that information on a windows(
